What did I do? Why would I do something so stupid? He thought as he ran down the street. All he tried to concentrate on was not tripping and falling on his face so he wouldn’t get caught. He could here her screaming in the distance, yelling at him to come but it was too late now and he couldn’t turn back. Once he seen a building with people opening the door, he stormed in the door and ran up to the roof of the building. He didn’t hear anyone coming after him so he just sat down on the floor and stared at the ground. He knew how much he needed this but it was hard to know what he had to go through to get it. How could he do something like that to a women who had nothing to do with the situation and didn’t deserve to have something like this happen to her. He observed the wallet and what it could have meant towards her. He was pink, big and in a rectangle. He opened it to see 5 credit cards, a checkbook and ‘$1,000. As much money as it held he still felt bad for taking it. It was so much money he didn’t know what to do at the moment. All he could do was sit there and wonder what would be the first thing he could do with the money. He thought about the food, the bills and the drug. He started walking without noticing where he was going. As he walked he seen something coming up soon and he thought he knew what it was but he wasn’t sure. And as he continued it became clear what it was and he thought if he should go in or not. Once he got to the front of the door it became clear what the answer was, it was only right in his heart that he couldn’t do it. He turned left into the building.
“Hi, I would like to return a stolen wallet,” he said quietly.
